Blue60 is a specially formulated, self-expanding polyurethane foam designed for sealing timber doorsets. When paired with Blue60 fire-rated packers or the Blue60 Timberex wedge system, it delivers up to 60 minutes of proven fire protection. Helping you achieve compliance quickly and with confidence.
The most tested foam of its kind, Blue60 has passed every single test to BS 476 Part 22 and BS EN 1634-1 standards. Covering every combination of wall and frame type, both 30 and 60 minute timber fire doors and single or double sets. It’s a system making it the perfect choice for contractors, property owners or professionals that want to protect timber doorsets.
Blue60 expands to form a durable, smoke and gas tight seal, meaning no extra mastics or sealants are needed. Once cured, it won’t shrink, ensuring lifelong integrity. Installation is simple, fast and more cost-effective helping you create a building that’s safe, secure and up to standard.
In addition to fire and smoke resistance, Blue60 provides excellent acoustic insulation, reducing sound transmission by up to 43 dB Rw* perfect for creating quiet, secure environments. The foam is CFC and H-CFC-free using propellants that are harmless to the ozone layer.
Blue60 Fire-Rated Packers
Each semi-rigid packer is colour coded by thickness 1 mm, 3 mm, and 5 mm for easy identification. They can be trimmed and shaped for a precise fit, ensuring consistent gap management and system performance. Designed to work seamlessly with Blue60 foam.
Blue60 Timberex Wedges
The Timberex wedges are part of the Blue60 installation system. Their wedge-shaped design assists installers when dealing with difficult door gap issues, whilst still offering the same rigidity as conventional Blue60 packers at the fixing positions. When used with Blue60 foam they provide up to 60 minutes fire resistance and prevent smoke leakage. The Blue60 Timberex wedge can be cut, shaped, painted or finished with mastic for a seamless finish.
Used by many of the UK’s leading developers, the Blue60 system is a proven, environmentally responsible and cost effective solution for fire rated timber door installations.
